A Chinese newspaper has blasted GUNS N' ROSES for naming their new album CHINESE DEMOCRACY - accusing the rockers of belittling their nation.
The Global Times, which is published by China's ruling Communist party, ran an article condemning the long-awaited LP and suggested it was part of a western plot to 'grasp and control the world using democracy as a pawn'.
The record, which took 15 years to make and cost an alleged $15 million (10 million), is not on sale in China but has been released in the U.. K. and the U.. S. to mixed reviews.
