WOODY ALLEN is baffled by a statue honour in the Spanish town of Ovieto.
The movie mogul insists the odd tribute is 'one of the great mysteries of western civilization' - because he has no idea why townsfolk chose to honour him.
Allen tells WENN, 'Ovieto is a lovely town in Spain
. I went there a couple of times, and, without asking me, they erected this statue.
'I never saved someone from drowning and they put a statue up of me in the town
. I thought it was a joke.
'And it's a good statue of me; I've got my sports jacket on and .....
