Full Stephen Baldwin Biography
STEPHEN BALDWIN was born on the 12th May, 1966 in Massapequa, NY. He is the youngest of two sisters and three brothers. All of his brothers are actors (Alec, Daniel and William (Billy) Baldwin). Although Stephen has the same eyes as his brothers, he is easy to distinguish. He has to-die-for cheekbones, full lips and often sports blond and/or long hair. He picks varied and unusual roles and does a lot of Indie films.

As a teenager, Stephen worked in a pizza-parlor. He was a successful (opera) singer in high school, winning several competitions. He finally decided to go into acting and in his late teens, he studied at ‘The American Academy of Dramatic Arts'.

Stephen has admitted that he had drug and alcohol problems up until his early twenties but credits his wife, Kennya, for making him want to change. He has been sober for nine years. The couple has two children.

Stephen made his off-Broadway debut in "Out in America" co-starring Darryl Hannah. His early television credits include episodes of "China Beach", "Kate and Allie" and "Family Ties" as well as the TV movie "The Prodigious Mr Hickey" (aka Lawrenceville Stories). His early film work includes small roles in "Last Exit to Brooklyn" and "Born on the Fourth of July"(both 1989). That same year he was cast in the ABC western TV series "The Young Riders" where he won a legion of fans (including me) portraying the amusing William F. Cody. The show ran for three seasons and after it ended he started to become one of the most prolific actors in Hollywood. Since 1991, he has been in more than 25 films. The more recognized ones include: "Posse"- a western directed by and starring Mario Van Peebles, The Oscar winning "The Usual Suspects"-a crime thriller with Kevin Spacey , "Threesome"- a boundary-pushing comedy and "Fled", an action flick which also stars Laurence Fishburne. He recently gave a great performance in the police action drama "One Tough Cop" and in 2000 he will play a young Barney Rubble in "The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas".

Stephen is a very versatile actor. He can play bad guys, funny guys and good guys. He is obviously the latter in real-life because he is involved in many charitable endeavors. In the past he has organized and hosted a celebrity pool tournament, Pool Aid, which benefits the Los Angeles AIDS project. He also helps his mother Carol, who is a survivor of breast cancer, with her research fund.

Stephen likes to write poetry and listens to many different kinds of music. He enjoys extremist sports such as auto-racing, bungee-jumping and sky-diving.
Additional Stephen Baldwin Biography
Stephen Baldwin (born May 12, 1966 in Massapequa, New York) is an American actor, best known for his role in the 1995 ensemble film The Usual Suspects. He is the youngest of the acting Baldwin brothers, with brothers Daniel, William, and Alec.

After high school, Baldwin attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for one year, but was not invited back for a second year. He got small parts in shows like Kate and Allie and Family Ties before landing his first serious feature film role in the 1988 film The Beast. That role led to other parts in the 1989 films Last Exit to Brooklyn and Born on the Fourth of July, as well as the television series The Young Riders. In 1995, he landed a possible breakthrough role in The Usual Suspects. Baldwin's next role, however, was in 1996's Bio-Dome, which was a critical and financial failure.

In 2002, Baldwin participated in Celebrity Mole Hawaii, the first celebrity edition of The Mole. ABC broadcast the reality show in early 2003. Later that year he returned for Celebrity Mole Yucatan, which ABC aired in early 2004. In 2004, he became the host of another reality show Scare Tactics, which was broadcast on The Sci Fi Channel.

In 2004, Baldwin directed and produced Livin' It, a film that focused on Christian athletes involved in extreme sports and evangelism. In 2006, he released a book The Unusual Suspect—the title playing on his most successful movie role—which details his renewed stance on Christianity. It made it onto the New York Times bestseller list.

In August 2007, Baldwin was back on television when CMT cast him in Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge. He was among nine celebrities cast on the show. In the first episode, Baldwin was injured after taking a bad fall from a bull, breaking his shoulder blade and cracking a rib. Under doctor's orders, he had to give up going to Nashville and left the show in the second episode. He returned for the last episode in Nashville to support the other riders and was given a rodeo buckle by Ty Murray, along with the other riders, for his attempt.

He was baptized a Roman Catholic, but became a born-again Christian in the Evangelical church shortly after the September 11 attacks. Since converting, he is on a mission to evangelize the youth of the nation through projects such as The Breakthrough Ministry, which involves skateboarding and extreme sports, Christian rock concerts, laser light shows and fireworks. He talks frequently about his conversion experience, which involved a middle-aged Brazilian housekeeper.

He currently resides in the village of Nyack, New York, with his wife, Kennya, and their family. In 2006, he launched a campaign to prevent an adult bookstore from opening on the outskirts of the village. After mobilizing much of the county's religious base to the cause, Baldwin lent his support to a petition filed in New York Supreme Court by a group calling itself the Catholic Citizenship, and succeeded in quashing the store. Many of the residents in this quite liberal town were not happy with what they saw as Baldwin's self-serving efforts. In 2006 and 2007 he has made calls to the radio talk show Lionel, the host of which advocates a skeptical view of religion, to tell his story and promote Christianity. Stephen was also the narrator on the audio book "New Believers Bible Gospel Of John."

Stephen Baldwin Quote(s)
All those '70s flicks -- 'Serpico,' 'The French Connection,' 'Dog Day Afternoon,' the 'Godfather' movies -- I just loved them. I can do a terrific Al Pacino imitation. And now I'm doing a part that he might have done. For me, that's a great feeling.
