Full Michael Weatherly Biography
Michael was born in New York City on 8th July 1968. Raised in Fairfield, CT, he left college to pursue a career in acting. He also had a great passion for music, and played in a band while pursuing his acting career. While playing in the band, he began acting professionally and landed his first job as Theo Huxtable's roommate on "The Cosby Show," and a role in the independent film "Trigger Happy" opposite Rosario Dawson.
This led to numerous guest spots on television and brought him to Los Angeles. After moving to Los Angeles, he landed a series regular role in the FOX television series "Significant Others."
In 1995 he married actress Amelia Heinle who he appeared with in both "The City" and "Loving". Tragically, their marriage did not last long, and they divorced in 1997, despite the birth of their son, August in 1996. Michael currently resides in Los Angeles. |

Weatherly was born in New York City and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut by wealthy parents, Patricia and Michael Weatherly, Sr. He has - according to him - eleven siblings, though he only has one full brother (same parents as he), the others are all halfs and steps as both of his parents are married for the third time. His father became wealthy from importing Swiss Army Knives, which is mentioned in an episode of "NCIS." He graduated from Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts in 1986. In an interview his car was shown to be a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
He starred in Dark Angel for the two seasons it was on the air. He was engaged to his co-star Jessica Alba for much of the filming (a fact jokingly referenced to by his character in NCIS). He also starred in Significant Others (1998) on TV with Jennifer Garner before she became a big name star, but it only lasted for 6 episodes.
He was a guest presenter at the Australian Logie Awards of 2007 on 6 May 2007 and was a guest on Rove Live.
Formerly married to Amelia Heinle (who was his co-star in Loving and The City) (1995–1997); they had 1 son, August Weatherly (born in 1996), before they divorced. |
