Full Rollergirl Biography
The 26 year-old Nicci was born and raised in the rustic, idyllic rural countryside of Lünens(?) in the Ruhr region. As a young child, she was already fascinated with roller skating, and joined the roller skating club - a contributing factor to her current success. Music is another passion of the charismatic Rollergirl. After graduation from school, Nicci made it clear: "Now I'll dedicate myself to music training." With singing lessons, she purposefully put her plan into practice.
Rollergirl's success story reads like a fairy tale: she met her producer, Alex Christensen, in Mallorca. There, the hit producer was so immediately convinced of her talent that he offered to record some demos. "I simply couldn't pass up this unique chance. As soon as my instruction was done, I went immediately to Hamburg and Music became my life's work, " Nicci recalled.
With her debut single "Dear Jessie," Rollergirl opened the first Loveparade in England and thereby made history. The song stayed in the charts for weeks and was the foundation for further successful singles like "Luv U Moore," "Eternal Flame," and "Superstar," as well as the debut album "Now I'm singin'." All of her records took the European charts by storm.
Besides her music career, Nicci Juice has also made a name for herself as a hostess. She presented, together with Daniel Hartwig, already for the third year the RTL2-Broadcast "The Dome." Likewise, for RTL2 this year, she'll be the hostess of "Megaman 2002." In addition, Nicci Juice is on the Radio: she presents the weekly airplay charts on over 30 stations.
Privately, Nicci listens to different kinds of Music, like R'n'B, Pop, Dance, American Hip Hop, Classical, and Rock Ballads. "I am so commercial, and because of that, I like nearly all the songs on the top 30 charts, (?)and certainly American music! (?)," Nicci stresses. In her free time, the (?)resident of Hamburg(?) loves to walk along the beach with her two dogs, in order to get some fresh air. As for culinary tastes, Nicci loves Italian foods, especially freshly prepared Pasta Pomodore. Nicci explains "I like it best when I can eat together with friends and family at a large table."
From her wave of success, Rollergirl has made true believers of Europe and Japan. During her Japanese tour, she became confronted for the first time with Asian culture, and came immediately under its spell. Interested by the fact that Japanese women speak a more polite form of Japanese, she became especially fascinated by the history of the Geisha. It is only fitting that it was there in Japan that she received a demo copy of "Geisha Dreams" from a Swedish songwriter. |

Additional Rollergirl Biography
Rollergirl (born 19 November, 1975), real name Nicole Saft (Saft translates into English as 'Juice') is a German singer with a number of successful tracks such as "Dear Jessie" (a Madonna song) and "Luv U More," the latter being a cover of a song by Sunscreem.
The love for rollerskates developed early when working at a rollerskating rink. Nicole was discovered by German producer Alex Christensen on the Spanish island of Mallorca and signed up for auditions. In 1999, Alex produced the song "Dear Jessie" for Rollergirl, which was successful as the opening song at a techno-parade in the United Kingdom, where Nicole continued to work using the stage name "Nicci Juice." The pseudonym "Rollergirl" was taken from Heather Graham's role as as naive young porn starlet in the movie Boogie Nights.
"Geisha Dreams" (2002) was Rollergirl's last release before Nicole focussed on her private life around Alex Christensen and their child.
Nicole Saft has also appeared with Daniel Hartwig as co-presenter of the German television channel RTL 2's The Dome and Megaman 2002.Music sample: |
