Full Alexander Morton Biography
Morton trained in London at the Central School of Speech and Drama from 1965-68, and although he has had roles in several of Britain's leading drama series, such as Between the Lines, Minder, Taggart, Second Sight and Casualty, as well as leading roles in television dramas such as The One That Got Away (1996), Looking After Jo Jo (1998), and The Man-Eating Wolves of Gysinge (2005) he is best known for playing the gamekeeper Golly in the BBC TV series Monarch of the Glen (2000-2005) and the arch-villain Andy Semple in Scotland's long-running soap opera Take the High Road.
His film work includes London to Brighton (2006), I'll Sleep when I'm Dead (2003), Gregory's Two Girls (1999), Croupier (1998), and Silent Scream (1990). His first film appearance was in Get Carter with Michael Caine (1971).
