Full Katt Williams Biography
Williams was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and raised in Dayton. He is the son of a former member of the Black Panther Party. As a child Katt rejected a scholarship to The National Science Academy, choosing instead to emulate his idols such as Don Knotts, Bill Cosby, Darnell Allen, Walt New and Richard Pryor by becoming a comedian.

Williams's big break came in the summer of 1999 when he won Cedric The Entertainer’s Anheuser-Busch "Best Los Angeles Comics" Award. This propelled Katt into the role of 'Money Mike' in 2002's Friday After Next (a character he went on to play at the start of Lil Kim's video for "Lighters Up" in 2005). After playing the Money Mike character, Katt would often be typecast as a pimp character.

Later in 2001, for the Montreal Comedy Festival and was chosen as one of the 'New Faces'. In October 2002, he auditioned at Twentieth Century Fox for NYPD Blue and was immediately offered the role. In April 2003, he starred in the Tracy Morgan Pilot for NBC which was picked up for mid-season on NBC, but eventually got cancelled. In the Boondocks episode "Guess Hoe's Coming to Dinner" he voices "A Pimp Named Slickback", which is modeled after his character "Money Mike" in Friday After Next. He has also made appearances in sitcoms such as, My Wife and Kids and Cuts. He was also a regular guest on Nick Cannon's Wild 'N Out, and is part of the regular cast of its sister show Short Circuitz.

Further, in 2003, he appeared in Nick Cannon’s "Gigolo", E40’s 'One Night Stand,' Ludacris' "Stand-up" and in 2004, Outkast’s, "Roses", Suga Free’s 'Thinkin,' and Ludacris' "Pimpin All Over The World". Recent music videos he has appeared in include Lil' Kim's "Lighter's Up", Paul Wall's "Girl", E40’s "U and Dat", Suga Free's "Thinkin'", Nick Cannon's "Dime Piece" , Ice Cube's "Go To Church" ,and Lil Scrappy's "Money in da Bank". Williams has also been present in the music industry. He rapped on The Game's mix tape Ghost Unit, where he and The Game dissed the Young Gunz after they claimed he was a "fake ass pimp". He also rapped with Chamillionaire on his album Mixtape Messiah in the song "Roll Call" where they dissed Mike Jones. He was featured on Lil' Skeeter's album "Midwest Mastermind" on a skit entitled "Pimp Slap. He has also rapped with Snoop Dogg who appears in his HBO Stand-Up "The Pimp Chronicles" and the single is played throughout the movie.

In 2006, Williams starred on his own new stand-up HBO show: The Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1. He is also putting the finishing touches on his innovative album, It's Pimpin', Pimpin', which will be distributed through Cam'Ron's Diplomat Records. It is rumored that the first single will be Mind Right featuring Snoop Dogg.

He also recently hosted first ever BET Hip Hop Awards show on Wednesday November 15, 2006. Katt Williams appeared on The Howard Stern Show, on November 30, 2006. He also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

In 2007 Katt Williams hosted Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav. Katt Williams also hosted the Hip Hop Awards '07. After hosting the Hip Hop Awards, Katt Williams again made an appearance on the cartoon show, The Boondocks, again as the character "A Pimp Named Slickback" for the episode entitled "Tom, Sara, and Usher." Katt Williams also released a follow-up to his stand-up comedy movie titled American Hustle. The movie was released straight-to-DVD on November 20, 2007. It was announced on his website, kattwilliams.com, that he would be going on a fifteen city tour titled The American Hustle Exclusive Tour. He will also appear in an upcoming movie titled "The Perfect Holiday" and in another movie titled "Marshals".
