Full Lloyd Maines Biography
Lloyd Maines (born June 28, 1951) is a country music musician and producer who was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas and is now based in Austin, Texas.
He is also a record producer, starting with Terry Allen's seminal 1979 album, LUBBOCK (on everything). He has produced and worked on recording projects with numerous artists, including Butch Hancock, Jerry Jeff Walker, the Lost Gonzo Band, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Wayne Hancock, Owen Temple, Robert Earl Keen, Terri Hendrix, Pat Green, Two Tons of Steel, and The Waybacks.
Maines won a Grammy Award for Best Country Album in 2003 for the Dixie Chicks' Home. He is the father of Natalie Maines, lead singer of the Dixie Chicks. |
