Full Kimberly Stewart Biography
Alana Kimberly Stewart (born 21 August 1979, Holmby Hills, California) is an American fashion model, socialite, fashion designer, and actress.
Kimberly Stewart is the daughter of rock legend Rod Stewart and his first wife Alana Stewart. She has an older half brother Ashley Hamilton from her mother's marriage to George Hamilton. She has one full brother, Sean Stewart. She also has four younger half siblings from her father Rod Stewart: Ruby (whose mother is Kelly Emberg); Renee and Liam (whose mother is Rachel Hunter); and Alistair (whose mother is Penny Lancaster). Kimberly and Ruby Stewart are very close and are often seen out together, and even in the same Ultimo underwear photoshoots.
Kimberly attended modeling school before being hired by Tommy Hilfiger Company. Stewart, along with model Meagan Maitland, was the face of Australian underwear line, Antz Pantz from late 2005 - mid 2006, appearing in TV commercials and poster adverts for the line. Stewart is currently signed with Nous Model Management in Los Angeles ( www.nousmodels.com ) .
In 2006 she was the face of Blend jeans. She also has her own clothing line called Pinky Star Fish and has designed shoes independently.
In a poll run by Britain's FHM magazine in 2007 , Kimberly was voted most eligible bachelorette. Voting took into consideration both "wealth and looks".
Stewart talked about her 4th of July and new projects in TMZ - website: "I spent my holiday tied up with a last-minute work situation. The manufacturer of the fabrics for my T-shirt line came to town from China with a special delivery ... mounds and mounds of fabric! I spent the whole day at the Beverly Hills Hotel buried under a huge pile of material. Good news is that the fabric is stunning and I can't wait to show you my designs!"
Stewart's acting debut was a guest role on the series Undeclared in 2002. During 2005, there were rumors that she would replace Nicole Richie and join Paris Hilton in the fourth season of the hit reality series The Simple Life; however, FOX later announced that the show was to be cancelled. E! picked up the fourth season in which Richie returned.
The second being produced by Living TV for London; a brand new ten-episode series, Living with Kimberly Stewart. The series will air in the Autumn on Living TV.
Living's head of commissioning, Clare Hollywood, said: "Stewart is seriously hot property at the moment and we're excited to have exclusive access to such a key period in her life as she spends more time in Britain. Being Kimberly's flat mate is not just about sharing her home - it will really give the winners a money can't buy prize of living the A-list dream."
The show will see Stewart search for two ideal flat mates to set up a London home with, who will mind the property for her when she is away. Potential flat mates have applied to live rent free in a luxury property with a celebrity, but do not know who the celebrity is. Through a series of tasks such as interior designing the new house, extreme "sports" to test their bottle, and other styling challenges, 12 contestants will be whittled down to the final two.
Stewart said: "I am really excited about coming over to the UK to live in my own place this summer. It will make a change from living out of suitcases all the time. The show will be a great way for me to find the perfect roommates to live with. I've never had a roommate, other than my family members, so I am a little bit nervous and excited."
Stewart is also said to be following her father's footsteps and pursuing a music career. Stewart, who plays violin and piano was approached by a producer in 2005, and after doing some test-runs in a studio, has since been taking singing lessons. Stewart believes music is in her blood.
In 2007, issue of FHM Stewart told: "It’s not something I’m opposed to, but it’s also not something I’ve got time to work on at the moment. If I did, it would be rock/pop."
As well as coming from a rich and well known family, Stewart is well-known in US tabloids for her many celebrity-friendships, including Paris and Nicky Hilton, Courtney Love, Anna Nicole Smith, Kelly Osbourne, Lindsay Lohan, Bijou Phillips, Jack Osbourne, Bai Ling, Kim Kardashian and Caroline D'Amore. Stewart is also a subject of media because of her jetsetting lifestyle and her fashionable style.
Paris Hilton and Stewart have topped People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) year-end Worst Dressed poll in early 2005. The two were named among the five worst fashion offenders due to their "tacky affinity for fur." In July 2007, she told: "Recently, I was sent an educational video about the fur trade. I was so shocked and horrified by what I learned. I was amazed at how little knowledge I had before, and was really upset to know that there is so much information about the fur business that most people are not aware of. I plan on doing what I can to bring more information to a wider audience. I will be sharing as I learn."
Stewart underwent surgery and received large breast implants as part of a breast augmentation post her modelling school graduation. Her father noted that her bustier new look gave her increased confidence. She later had them removed, and reportedly sent them to Jack Osbourne. On The Dame Edna Treatment (aired 21st April 2007, UK ITV1) she admitted sending her breast implants to Jack, who hung them on his bathroom wall. |
