Full Nick Cannon Biography
Cannon was born in California on October 8, 1980 to James Cannon and Beth Hackett. He attended Avocado Elementary School in Spring Valley California, Quail Hollow Middle School in Charlotte, North Carolina and Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, California. He began performing at the age of eight, and later formed the rap duo "Da Bomb Squad" with his best friend. Together they opened for the likes of Will Smith, LFO, 98 Degrees, and Montell Jordan. When Cannon was sixteen, he moved to Hollywood, where he performed at such comedy clubs as The Improv, The Laugh Factory and the Comedy Store.
Wild 'N Out returned for its third season on August 10, 2006 and ended October 5 of that year. A new sketch comedy show created by Cannon, called Short Circuitz debuted on April 5, 2007.
Nick Cannon had dated Grammy nominated singer and actress Christina Milian. She has stated in an interview with Blender magazine that she discovered his infidelity from checking his Sidekick. Christina claims that they are still friends. In an interview for Sister 2 Sister magazine Nick discussed the relationship and reasons for the breakup. Cannon has also briefly dated Kim Kardashian in 2006. On February 22, 2007, reports falsely speculated that Cannon married Victoria's Secret model, Selita Ebanks, after dating for only three weeks. On May 7, 2007, Cannon proposed to Victoria's Secret model, Selita Ebanks via the Times Square jumbotron and she accepted. On October 4, 2007, People magazine announced that the couple called off their engagement. |

 Once Nick Cannon firmly established himself on television and then in Hollywood, he expanded his reach into music, signing to Jive Records. The young multi-talent made his smash debut in late 2001 with a remake of DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince's 1988 hit, "Parents Just Don't Understand," which appeared on the Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius soundtrack and also featured Lil' Romeo and 3LW. Cannon returned in early 2003 with his self-titled debut album for Jive and its leadoff single, Your Pops Don't Like Me (I Really Don't Like This Dude). The follow-up single, Gigolo, featuring R. Kelly, was a huge smash hit. In 2005 Cannon signed a deal with Motown Records to launch his own imprint, Can I Ball Records.
