Full Dulce Maria Biography
Dulce María (born Dulce María Espinoza Saviñón, December 6, 1985) is a Mexican actress,singer and songwriter born in Mexico City, Mexico.
Dulce Maria started her career at the age of six doing commercials. From then she moved to tv station Televisa and so some shows for 'Plaza Sesamo' (Sesame Street). She then also worked for Discovery Kids and Disney Channel. From then she has done around 8 soap operas/series and four movies.
Dulce other than being an actress and singer has written one song entitled "Quiero Poder" (I Want To Be Able To). This song has been a hit and she has been the only one in the band to be a songwriter. She has written more songs and her Label is checking to see if they to should be included in RBD Cd's.She also wrote, "Te Daria Todo" a song which will come out in "Empezar Desde Cero" in the US Version.
In 2006, Espinoza stated that she has written a book of her most personal poems that will come out in 2008.
Dulce Maria and Alfonso Herrera had an on-again off-again relationship from the beginning of filming "Clase 406" until almost a year of filming "Rebelde". Time later Dulce and Memo Ochoa became an item. However, rumors speculated that Ochoa was being unfaithful when pictures blazed through the press of Ochoa kissing another woman. After Dulce and Ochoa broke up more rumors spread about her fellow group member, Christopher Uckermann, being her new flame. However, both parties strongly denied that they were ever an item, stating that both are like siblings and nothing more. Since the time that "Rebelde" ended she was linked to Alfonso again, and her former co-star, Diego Gonzales. She has denied both these rumors as well.
Dulce has two nicknames: 'bebe' by Anahi because she is the youngest girl in the group, and 'la ardilla' by her ex-boyfriend and current group member Alfonso because he says she looks like a chipmunk. Also, according to Alfonso, she tends to be the artistic one of the group since she's constantly writing and drawing. She has stated that she sees Anahi, Maite, Christian, Christopher, and Alfonso as her siblings.
Dulce's great-aunt happens to be the famous artist, Frida Kahlo. One of her maternal grandmother's parents and one of Frida's parents were siblings. |
