Full Rebecca Staab Biography
Rebecca Ann Staab (born July 27, 1961) is a Kansas born actress and former beauty queen who has competed in the Miss USA pageant.
Staab was born in Hays, Kansas and grew up in Ralston, Nebraska. She graduated in 1979 from Ralston Senior High School. Rebecca won the Miss Nebraska USA 1980 title and competed in the Miss USA 1980 pageant held in Biloxi, Mississippi in May 1980. She placed in the top twelve of the nationally televised event, the first Nebraskan semi-finalist in seven years. As of 2007, no other Miss Nebraska USA has placed in the competition since Staab.
Before becoming an actress, Rebecca worked as a model for the famous Ford Agency. She has appeared as a regular in numerous television shows:
- She played Daphne, Barnabas Collins' first victim in the primetime version of the classic hit TV series, Dark Shadows
- She has had regular roles on Live Shot, Trade Winds and Code Seven among others.
- She had a recurring role on One West Waikiki.
- She has also appeared in mainstream series, such as CSI:NY
- She played a kidnap victim in the series pilot for 'PS I Luv U' (1991)
- Staab portrayed the Invisible Girl in the unreleased 1994 Roger Corman movie version of The Fantastic Four.
- She is perhaps best known for playing Elizabeth Barrington on the now-cancelled ABC daytime soap opera Port Charles.
- She appeared in the Seinfeld episode "The Pledge Drive" as the coordinator of a public television fund drive on which Jerry Seinfeld was scheduled to appear.
Rebecca had a 12-year relationship with actor/writer/director Shawn Thompson, whom she met while they were working together on The Guiding Light (1952) (circa 1986-1998).
Ms. Staab is a certified scuba diver. Her other hobbies include horseback riding, rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, running marathons and dancing. She is also fluent in French. |
