Wes Bentley was a drummer with hip-hop aspirations in high school. He starred in a local stage production of "Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" in 1996 and an actor was born. Wes continued to excel on the stage while working part-time at Blockbuster and waiting tables. "Beloved" (1998) was his big screen debut.
