Veronica Portillo (born November 27, 1977 in Phoenix, AZ) is an American reality television star, Playboy model, and co-creator of the College Dropout t-shirt line.
Portillo made her first appearance on MTV on Road Rules: Semester at Sea, and was invited back to participate in Road Rules: Viewer's Revenge. In the first week of Revenge, she was the first castmember nominated to the elimination pit, and subsequently, the first to be sent back to the Pit Crew. On the third week, she was nominated back to the pit, where she lost the challenge "Shuttle Puzzle" to Tori Hall, causing her to go back to the Pit Crew.
Portillo has participated in seven Real World/Road Rules Challenges a tied record she holds with Beth Stolarcyk. On the Challenges, she has often come into conflict with other cast members such as Katie Doyle and Tonya Cooley. At the The Inferno in 2004, she got everyone on her team to humiliate and sabotage Katie Doyle on the majority of the challenges, which led to a screaming match between Portillo and Doyle, during which Doyle referred to Portillo as a "short, ugly, acne-faced slut", and a "whore". Veronica has won Challenge 2000, The Gauntlet, and The Inferno. In all three, she was a member of Team Road Rules. She has made it to the end of four out of seven challenges, and won three of the four. She was eliminated in Battle of the Seasons, Battle of the Sexes, and Battle of the Sexes 2. She and the rest of Team Bad Asses lost to Team Good Guys in The Inferno 2. |
