Full Eric Bogosian Biography
Eric Bogosian (born April 24, 1953 (1953-04-24) (age 54) in Woburn, Massachusetts) is an Armenian-American actor, playwright, monologist, and novelist.
After graduating from Oberlin College, Bogosian moved to New York City to pursue a career in theatre. As a performer, Bogosian has a very distinctive style. His one-man shows are a minimalist blend of dark comedy, geopolitical commentary, and social realism. When performing on stage, Bogosian generally appears as a series of characters, using few props (beer bottle, cane, cup) if any.
In 2006, Bogosian joined the cast of Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Capt. Danny Ross, replacing Jamey Sheridan's character, Capt. James Deakins. He is one of numerous Law & Order actors who first played a supporting role, only to return as a major recurring character; Bogosian played "Gary Lowenthal" in two episodes of the original Law & Order. |
