Kian John Francis Egan (born April 29, 1980) is one of four (previously five) members of Irish boy band Westlife.
Kian was born in Sligo, Ireland to parents Patricia and Kevin. He has three brothers; Tom, Gavin and Colm, and three sisters; Marielle, Vivienne and Fenella. He attened Summerhill College secondary school in Sligo. He plays many instruments inside and outside the group, including the piano and guitar and was a former member of Sligo punk rock group Skrod. He was also in a pop group called IOU with fellow Westlife members Shane Filan and Mark Feehily as well as Graham Keighron, Michael "Miggles" Garrett and Derrick Lacey. Kian Egan's credits in the band include writing songs such as "Don't Let Me Go" and "When You Come Around".
Kian has a strong interest in surfing and during his holidays he is reportedly often seen doing so on Strandhill Beach, Sligo. He is also known for spending time in London with his girlfriend, Jodi Albert (formerly of the English soap opera Hollyoaks).
