Full Cheryl Tiegs Biography
Born on September 25, 1947, Cheryl Tiegs was raised in a modest home as the daughter of a florist and a mortician. As she grew into a young woman, it was apparent that she was a natural as a model. Her svelte, tall frame and stunning smile was the embodiment of the classic California look, unique at the time in the world of high fashion.
By the time she was 17, Tiegs had made the cover of Glamour and later imitated the feat on Bazaar, Elle, Time, and Vogue. Her main claim to fame at the time however, was a profitable affiliation with the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The partnership spanned three covers and several appearances in the magazine. A loyal following devoted to Tiegs was born as a result. Living proof of the latter was a 1978 poster in which Tiegs was resplendent in a pink bikini. The poster went on to become a staple in the bedroom of the American teenage male.
Her most recent marriage to a yoga instructor ten years her junior ended in divorce in February 2002. The blow was devastating to Tiegs, who discovered the bad news on her birthday in 2001. To compound her pain, the couple had conceived twin boys with a surrogate mother just a year before. Tiegs also has another son from a previous marriage.
Now on an emotional rebound from the divorce, Tiegs has experienced career resurgence over the past few years, despite the fact that she is over 50 years old. Her face has once again graced the pages of magazines and she entered the world of business with an accessory and wig line for Revlon. |

Additional Cheryl Tiegs Biography
Cheryl Rae Tiegs (born September 25, 1947 in Breckenridge, Minnesota) is sometimes considered to be the first modern American supermodel. Her popularity signaled the rise of tall models, as she stands 5'10" to 5'11" in height.
Tiegs was reputedly never comfortable in the spotlight, and did not welcome the scrutiny that came with it. She has been married and divorced four times, to Stan Dragoti (1970–1979), Peter Hill Beard (1981–1983), Tony Peck (1990–1995), and Rod Stryker (1998–2001). She has three sons, one by Peck and two by Stryker. Tiegs has admitted that during the height of her fame, she would jump from one relationship to the next, never secure with the man she was with.
Now in her late fifties she has resumed modeling, is appearing in the HGTV series "Living with Ed", and has entered the world of business with an accessory and wig line for Revlon.
Cheryl Tiegs became the mother of twin boys Jaden Joseph and Theo Reid in 2000, at the age of 52, with the services of a surrogate mother. Rod Stryker, the father of the twins and her ex-husband, obtained exclusive custody of the twins during their divorce. |

Cheryl Tiegs Quote(s)
| I will not remarry. I'm so grateful for the marriages that I have had. I wouldn't be who I am today if I hadn't had those. I've had four amazing men in my life, very strong, powerful, wonderful men. I certainly will have a relationship with someone but I don't think I will get married again. |
