Élodie Bouchez (born April 5, 1973 in Montreuil-sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France) is a César Award winning French actress. She resides in Beverly Hills, California with her husband Thomas Bangalter.
Bouchez is best known for her César Award's Most Promising Actress winning film Wild Reeds (1994) by André Téchiné, and Cannes Film Festival's Best Actress Award winning film The Dreamlife of Angels (La Vie rêvée des anges 1998).
In the fall of 2005, she joined the cast of the American TV series Alias for its fifth and final season. She plays Renée Rienne, an assassin who works unofficially for a black ops devision of the CIA. Although considered a main cast member, she only appeared in select episodes, her character acting as something of a "secret weapon".
Élodie has also guest starred on Showtime's lesbian drama series The L Word, where she portrays Claude, a French writer who meets Jenny on a trip to Canada.
Bouchez lives in Beverly Hills, California and is the mother of a son, Tara-Jay, with husband Thomas Bangalter (of the band Daft Punk). Songwriter David Mead wrote his song "Élodie" about her. |
