Simon Helberg (born December 9, 1980) is a comic actor. Helberg is most notable for his membership in the recurring cast of comedians on sketch comedy series MADtv. He now has a role in The Big Bang Theory

Simon Maxwell Helberg was born on December 9, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. Attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where he trained at The Atlantic Theater Company.

Helberg officially joined the cast of MADtv in 2002, as a feature performer, for the eighth season. Helberg's tenure on MADtv was limited to only one season. At the end of Season Eight, in 2003, his contract was not renewed.

In 2007, Heldberg plays a geeky nerd in a show called "The Big Bang Theory". The character's name is "Howard Wolowitz".
