| Ms. Smith was born in Orangeburg, SC. She first became interested in acting when a friend, who was the Northern toilet paper girl, signed her up with an agent. Ms. Smith's first big break was as a dancing orphan in the film "Annie." She followed her film appearance with a string of stage roles, including an award-winning performance in "To Gillian on her 37th Birthday." In addition to acting, Ms. Smith sings and plays the guitar for the band Fydolla Ho. |

Shawnee Smith (born July 3, 1970) is an American actress. As well as the many films and television shows in which she has appeared, Smith was a lead singer for a band called "Fydolla Ho", with which she toured the USA and the UK.
She has appeared in a number of television roles. In an episode of the 80's hit Married with Children, she played a tease over whom Al's son Bud flipped his lid. Smith's best-known television role was Linda, an air-headed nurse's aide, on the CBS hit comedy series Becker. Another well-known role was Julie Lawry in the 1994 miniseries The Stand, based on the book by author Stephen King.
Besides her recurring role on Becker, Shawnee Smith made several guest appearances on television shows, such as Cagney & Lacey, Murder, She Wrote, The X-Files, Players and loaned her voice for an episode of the Disney cartoon Kim Possible as Vivian Porter.
Shawnee has a part in the "Saw 3" soundtrack. She is featured in a song called "Killer Inside" by Hydrovibe. |
