Full Emma-Kate Croghan Biography
| Born in 1972, Emma-Kate Croghan's alternative education fueled her interest in the arts at a young age. After dabbling in dance, drama and photography, she finally settled on film. In 1990, she was accepted into the BA course at the VCA Film and Television School. While at VCA, Emma-Kate made two highly successful short films, Sexy Girls, Sexy Appliances and Desire. Both films were warmly received on the International and Australian film festival circuit and gathered a swag of awards. They went on to enjoy theatrical release locally and abroad. Since leaving the film school, Emma-Kate has co-written and co-directed Come As You Are, a documentary funded by the Australian Film Commission, worked for AFI distribution and has directed film clips. At 23, Love and Other Catastrophes is Emma-Kate's feature film directing debut. |
