Full Barry Corbin Biography
Leonard Barrie "Barry" Corbin (born October 16, 1940) is an American character actor with over 100 credits in film and television and several in computer games.
Today, Corbin is a character on the teenage drama series One Tree Hill, where he portrays a basketball coach for the Tree Hill Ravens.
Corbin was born in Lamesa, Texas, the son of Alma La Merle Scot (née Brooks), a school teacher, and Kilmer Blaine Corbin, a judge and Texas state senator (1948-1956). A former United States Marine, Corbin studied theater at Texas Tech. While many of his films have been westerns, Corbin's proficiency in the saddle is no act. Much of his spare time is spent riding on his small Texas ranch, and he has volunteered his time to charity rodeos for many years. |
