"Ronsons commemts about angling (90% of fish which are returned die anyway) merely go to illustrate what a very stupid and ignorant man he is, or am I missing the sight of thousands of dead fish clogging our waterways? I for one will not be supporting this ridiculous actor by watching any more of his programmes and I know that many of my angling friends feel the same. I hope that Channel 5 do not commission any more of his series and that***ignals the start of the end of his career."

"I recently purchased this DVD set on a whim and was absolutely captivated by it. It was funny, romantic, touching, sad, suspenseful. All the actors were magnificent, especially the 3 leads. I tried to drag it out 3 nights but found I just couldn't. I finally gave in - it was like devouring a guilty pleasure in one sitting. Surfed the web and found Reckless, the Sequel, and ordered it sent 2-day priority mail. Get them both at the same time - the sequel is just as wonderful. This series reminded me what a joy good entertainment can be. "

"Green's character of Tony Hill, written by Val McDermid, is a wonderful blend of intelligence, compassion, single-mindedness and utter obtuseness when it comes to interacting with people who are NOT serial killers. These videos bring him to life in as clear a manner as John Thaw's 'Inspector Morse,' but in a much more graphic style. The stories are all well-written (with a complexity reminiscent of the Prime Suspect series) and the cinematography is griping and memorable. The scene in the first series of wind turbines viewed from a passing train is one which I will always carry with me. I've enjoyed Green in previous series, but nothing has come close to The Wire in the Blood, for pure quality writing, acting and impact. "
