| Towering, authoritative but immensely likable black leading man equally at home in big action spectacles and kitchen-sink dramas. An alumnus of the Black Actors' Workshop of the American Conservatory Theatre, and a prolific stage performer, Glover first appeared on film in a tiny role in Escape From Alcatraz (1979), and subsequently labored in the forgettable Chu Chu and the Philly Flash (1981) and Out (1982), among others.
