| Hugo Weaving was born in 1960 in Nigeria. He arrived permanently in Australia in 1976, and finished his education at Knox Grammar school, Sydney. He graduated from NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art) in 1981. Mr. Weaving won the Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Actor in a leading role for his work in Proof (1991). He later on received an AFI Award nomination for Best Actor in a leading role for his work in Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, The (1994). He won his s... |
