Full Alex O'Loughlin Bio"This topic needs som updating and corrections...
First off, Alex was born in Canberra, AU, a little inland from Sydney and is located in the Victoria Territory of the Land Down Under.
Alex's birth year is 1976; August 24th, 1976, which makes him 32 and he will be 33 on his birthday this year, 2009...
Alex's parents divorced when he was about two and by age 10 Alex spent time in both Canberra and Sydney, traveling between the two cities to see each of his parents though his mother raised him and his younger sister.
Alex can claim other Aussie TV series to his name besides Mary Bryant in which he was superb as Will Bryant... Alex was also seen in an AU series called "Black Jack: Sweet Science" which, unfortunately, to this date can only be bought in the Region 4 DVD mode so a special DVD player must be used...
Alex was wonderful as Mick St John in Moonlight which was too soon canceled by CBS, but which had already claimed a Best New Drama series at People's Choice Awards.
As of late Alex is coming back to CBS due to a contract and has just guest starred as a serial killer in Criminal Minds.
Alex has a pilot show, filmed in Pittsburgh, PA's closed Brownsville Hospital in March, waiting in the wings for acceptance as a new TV series on CBS... In this Alex is playing with blood again, it is just not in his diet. He plays a heart transplant surgeon, Dr Andy Yablonski, in this pilot called Three Rivers...
And at present Alex is back in LA filming a new movie, a romantic comedy, called "The Back-Up Plan" with Jennifer Lopez as his co-star..."

Moonlight"We all adore Alex...He really is a trooper in his chosen profession... I loved him as Mick St John in ML & always feel he brought the character real life to a serial storyline that was awesome... Though Alex may be moving on, we all would love true closure to Moonlight in movie form, even several sequels to complete the ML saga with Alex & the other TV cast members reprising their roles. We have come to adore Alex, who was not known to most of us here in the US prior to ML, but our love of Moonlight and a need to seek finalization, does not mean we are not Alex's true fans... We all are, and want to watch his star soar & one day to see him get an Oscar..."
