"Ron Howard is a genius people. Not only did he get a Baldwin to finally act, he captured the grit and pain of firefighting. Yeah, we all know you can't see crap in a fire but for smoke and black, but hey it is a movie. If you didn't well up for a sec at the end of this, you have no heart or was sleeping. Wish Universal would remaster this, get the picture better, dts would be nice, and add some extras, overall a hell of an entertaining film. Kurt Russell is awesome in this, the man can act, check out Escape from New York, Tombstone or The Thing to see what I mean."
"I was angered to read the small print on the box that advises that some music has been changed and episodes may be edited. Yikes. I suspected that the music changes would occur in restaurants, etc. when they have dance music going in the background. So far I am right. I hate they changed it, but the music isn't too bad. On the other hand, haven't seen any edits yet. Hope there aren't any. Why would a company go to all the trouble to remaster edited versions (and the episodes look fantastic by the way). Would have given 5 stars but because the b.g. live action music was changed, had to knock off a star. I'll post again if I spot any missing footage."
"A film that was meant to be seen on the big screen is still breath-taking on letter-box format on the small screen.A tragic accident forces a girl to confront her relationship with her mother and forces her mother to confront her relationship with her husband. The bridge between all the complex emotions and relationships in the film is a traumatized horse that must also overcome phobias related to a tragic accident in which he (the horse) was unable to protect the girl he adores as much as she adores him.The acting is superb and believable. The mountains, ranges and prairies are unforgettable and the simple yet fulfilling lives of the Montana rancher and his family is something even the most die-hard lover of the big city will crave for themselves."
"I saw this movie in the theaters when it was out and really enjoyed it. I always like Matt Damon in this type of role and all though Angelina Jolie's was a small role she did it beautifully. Matt Damon always seems to get himself stuck in some kind of conspiracy and has to fight his way out. It is the type of role besides Ocean's Eleven Comedies that he has been born for. I would recommend renting this flick."
