"Not a big baseball fan but always preferred the Yankees. This miniseries should be a time capsule for a time that many have only heard or read about. I was a kid in '77 but remember the blackout and Son of Sam and Billy Martin's famous tirade against Reggie Jackson. The inner workings of this team is what's fascinating. It's capture is so true of the time that it feels more like 1977 than I remember. Steinbrenner's portrayal is on point. He certainly hasn't changed his M.O. and at times his over-weening ego was very humorous to watch. All the actors work effortlessly to convincingly portray the real people on the Yankees of '77. That's what makes the series for me - true to life portrayals. Very cool."

"*How to Make an American Quilt* has been in my Top 5 since the second I saw it in the theatre. Unfortunately, it seems to be grossly misunderstood by reviewers, who tend to be - and sorry for the generalization - male. It works more as a companion piece to the novel, as each fills in the blanks that the other left behind. What you have at the end is solid, heartfelt, and a true treasure within the 'woman's film' genre."

"Great story line, great gags, great characters, great visual effects. And corny. Totally implausible premise of 4 old codgers (Eastwood, James Garner, Donald Sutherland, and Tommy Lee Jones) `volunteer' to repair a Russian satellite that only Eastwood's character knows how to do. This satellite is a Cold War hanger-on that is somehow still armed with live nuclear warheads. Mission: disarm it. And, in the tear-jerking and rousingly patriotic conclusion, they do a fine job to it. But first we get to have fun watching these geriatric wrecks pass NASA's physical exams.Just plain fun."

"This is an excellent thriller/drama movie with a very relevant plot for todays society. It may have been far fetched when it was made but it is more of a blue print for todays reality. The audio and video transfers are excellent and definitely rate a tier 1 presence for Blu-Ray."
