"After missing the films release at the cinema i decided to buy the film anyway as my friends had said that it was very good, and i have to agree with them. I hadnt seen the original so this was a totaly new film to me and i loved it all the way through. The storyline is there, there are plenty of deaths, the special effects are great and the cast certainly earned their pay."

I'm returning the third unit I bought later today. All three DVDs were defective on one side (the 1999 version). Same defect in the same place on all three disks. Great quality control, right?
Hollywood wants to sell you on DVDs, then Blu-Tooth, HDTV, ad nauseum, but the fact is that DVD sales are dropping because the quality of the DVDs are sinking fast. Like Universal, Warner--the company that brought us Brokeback Superman Returns--is now shipping shoddy DVDs. Everytime I get a bum disk, I buy less DVDs in the ensuing weeks. Get it yet, Hollywood?"
