"I first saw this movie on a plane flight from sydney to Auckland. I was waiting for the schedualed hollywood krap movie to come on when it was announced that due to technical difficulties the planned movie would not be shown today and that instead they would be showing Warren Miller's Storm. i looked through the booklet and couldnt find a review on it and so i was sure it was goin to be crap and pulled out a snowboarding mag from my bag and began to read. After about 5 mins I looked up to see a skier jumping off a 25ft cliff into 2ft of powder, my jaw dropped and i was rivetted for the rest of the flight. It was a truly amazing video with great footage from all across the world, pleasing both skiers and boarders. buy it now!!!!!!!!!!"
"This remains one of my favorite movies of all time. It is more than a simple minded comedy, though it is certainly very funny throughout. However, if you watch carefully, you'll see the subtle genius used in the parody of California life (really much of American life) and how the struggle for peace of mind versus simple materialism (and I am a devout capitalist) can be seen in the simple things we do in our lives. He uses humor and exaggeration to illustrate the silliness of some of our behavior and how they interfere with happiness.
Watch it for the simple humor or watch it for the social commentary. Both are well done, pointed, pleasant, and enriching."
" This movie was O.K. but I've seen better. Luke Malloy (Jansen Panettiere) is a 11-year-old boy who wishes that summer never ends on the last day of summer. Unfortunately, that wish comes true! Except, the last day of summer repeats, and that's not what he planned on. Constantly getting hit in the face, bullied on, and stole from, Luke Malloy must survive the last day of summer over and over again, until he figures out a solution.
Although this looks like a funny movie, it is not, watching the same things happen over and over again gets really boring, plus the acting is very weak."
