Forget Goldfinger! "I think Ms. Eaton looked at her stunning best in her underwater scence during "Around the World, Under the Sea". This at a time when UK actresses were so precious that they wouldn't even consider getting their hair slightly damp on screen.
My favourite comedy scene featuring Ms. Eaton was not, in fact, in a comedy movie. In an episode of ATV's "The Saint" Shirley portrayed a scheming femme fatale who was captured and lying helpless on a bed- gagged, with her ankles tied together and her hands tied behind her. When Simon Templer (Roger Moore) arrived to rescue her, he dealt with her captors but left her trussed up, fuming and uselessly struggling!
Incidentally, Ms. Eaton seemed to be far more comfortable acting barefoot than other actresses of her era- apart from perhaps Nancy Kwan, who, by coincidence, made an enchanting and extended underwater appearance in "Tamahine"."
