Video Title: "S.f.w. - reese witherspoon and stephen dorff"
"I remember seeing this movie when I was younger, and it was pretty good. I just found the DVD at a low price and could not resist buying it. A little hokey, but worth adding to your horror collection. Here is a description from the back of the box: When best friends Glen and Terry stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen's backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate - an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil."
"My granddaughters and I were enjoying the DVD together until one of the younger boys told his older brother to go to hell. I do not think that this is appropriate for young or old alike to listen to. I was very disappointed because I had thought that the movie would be a good example for kids to see and teach them that life has disappointments, but that they can overcome them. It's sad that the producer had to insert that into a movie that otherwise seemed to be good. What happened after that episode, I have no clue because we immediately took the DVD out."
"Once again the previews mislead the audience. I like most people I talked to thought it was a ghost story. No such luck. Dennis Quaid is great, Sharon Stone can't act her way out of a wet paper bag. I knew that going in but thought I'd suffer through her because it looked like a good movie. The movie was ok, just ok. As I said it's not a ghost story, but just another thriller. Don't get me wrong thrillers are great but this one was very slow to get going. Once it got going it was ok. I've heard of developing the characters but this took so long the movie was over. I should have saved my money. I could have watched this on TV when I had nothing else to do and nothing else on."
"Tons of action and suspense. I saw it a few years ago and i picked it up today. It was so cool! Steven Dorff, Emilio Estevez and Cuba Gooding, Jr. Were awesome! So was Dennis Leary. Who ever the loser was who played Ray seriously su**ed and was perfect for the part of the coward. Who ever has seen this movie will agree, one of the best movies of all time."
