| Anna Maria Italiano was born 1931 in the Bronx, New York. She gave her cinema debut in 1952 with 20 years ("Don't Bother to Knock (1952)"). In the fifties she realized a lot of movies as suporting actress until she became a star with "Miracle Worker, The (1962)" of 'Arthur Penn' with wich she won an Academy Award.
