Kristin Scott Thomas was born on 24th May 1960 in Redruth, Cornwall, England. Her father was a pilot for the Royal Navy and died in a flying accident in 1964, when Kristin was only five years old. Her mother re-married another pilot six years later and he was also killed under similar circumstances. The eldest of five, she has two brothers and two sisters, she was brought up in rural Dorset and went to a village school and then the local convent. She states that she was shy and unsure of herself...

"Why did this movie get Oscar nominations? Two and a half hours of this were more than I could take. It was a bunch of blabbermouths doing mostly the same over and over again. There were no characters I could relate to! The acting nominations make a bit more sense than best picture (at least the cast seemed to be trying), but geez! Big waste of talent! If it were TV it would be a boring sitcom after less than half an hour!"

This Mission Impossible movie set shows you why the Panavision cameras and lenses used to film movies cost over a quarter million dollars each and the Kodak film used in them cost well over a thousand dollars a roll. The blu-ray Panasonic DMP-BD10 - Blu-Ray disc player - upscaling images from this player I bought from Amazon are simply stunning! And this is a top notch action movie set."

"This beautiful film is done a disservice by the motion picture industry. It was released on DVD in the United Kingdom on June 30, 2003. In the US, it will be released on January 13, 2004. This just goes to show how much regard the film industry has for documentary films, especially one that trumps most of the special-effects-laden, vacuous, empty action films that are turned out every summer to entertain the masses with mindless violence and cheap (in quality and effect, not in price) computer wizardry."
