Gloria Trevi was born in Mexico and became a superstar in the 1980s and has been likened to strong females such as Janis Joplin and Madonna.

The 1990s saw an abrupt decline in her career as she was wanted by the Mexican police and later Interpol for child prostitution, child slavery and child abuse.
