"An adorable Danny Kaye movie. He plays two parts a rich playboy and a night club singer/dancer. Danny can not be beat - I especially love his song, 'Popo the puppet' - that alone is worth buying the movie!"

"This is a great movie. A fun remake of 'That Night in Rio with Don Ameche. Danny Kaye is a very verstile entertainer who can sing, dance and act. He really pulls off the double role he plays as an entertainer and a wealthy man who has a reputation as a ladies man. A couple of the songs in this movie harken back to my childhood and enhances the enjoyment of this movie. A must see!"

Advise and Consent

"This ultra-realistic 1962 drama of the goings-on in Washington, D.C. must rank as one of the best films of its type ever made. It's a lengthy one (2 hrs., 19 min.), but it never gets dry. The many veteran actors assembled to comprise this cast see to that. The roster includes Henry Fonda, Franchot Tone, Charles Laughton, Lew Ayres, Walter Pidgeon, and Burgess Meredith! There's also Don Murray, who probably gets more screen time here than anyone else. And I think Murray shines bright in his role as the senator with a deep, dark secret! Pidgeon is also particularly convincing in this film. This was Mr. Laughton's final motion picture. If you've never seen Advise & Consent ..... then get it today! It's a thoroughly engrossing and powerful movie experience!"

Where the Sidewalk Ends

"It's very exciting to f-i-n-a-l-l-y see this movie released on DVD in the United States. I was thrilled to see it released in the UK by the British Film Institute last year along with 'Whirlpool' and 'Thje Fallen Angel'. This is one of the best film noir. Dana Andrews and Gene have incredible on-screen chemistry and Dana Andrew's performance is simply phenomenal. Cannot go wrong with this one. A 'must to have' for any serious film noir lover."

"This film and its DVD treatment are superb. There's nothing left to say that hasn't already been said in great detail by other reviewers but as a classic film fanatic and a film noir junkie I cannot recommend this title enough. If you've seen and enjoyed 'Laura' and or 'Where the Sidewalk Ends', both also starring the breath-taking Gene Tierney and directed by Otto Preminger, have no hesitation in securing this DVD for your collection. The price is at least half whati** worth! "
