"This cartoon plays on many topics that were ahead of it's time! Raw, uninhibited humor ati** best! R. Crumb knows how to take one story line, and play off of it time and time again. There are subtlties that make the movie understandable and enthusiastic. Once you realize, Fritz is day-dreaming on 9 lives, these lives are how he would've rather have lived and ultimately died than have been forced to marry his wife! The faucet dripping in his eyes time and time again, is him remembering how he slipped up and got his wife pregnant. Once you realize these connections...this movie is more enjoyable each time you watch it!"
"A delightful movie that nobody seems to know about - Brooke Adams, Hector Elizondo, Denholm Elliot, Sean Connery - all fine performances in one of those films where the characters seem to continually cross each others' paths. Toothsome."
"I love this movie. I havn't seen the new DVD version yet, but I rented this movie on VHS a wile ago and I just remember it being full of action, humor, and suspence. I love David Carridene. If you liked Death Race 2000 or just love David Carridene you should get this movie."
"Whoever did the transfer of this edition should be forced to watch it over and over without possibility of parole. The picture is 'ghost'-ridden and, in some places, looks overexposed. Toward the end of the movie, the sound loses synchronization with the picture. Avoid this edition at all costs. It's bad enough to make you want to give up DVD as a medium."
"This seemed like a bit of a mish mash of stories that never quite got finished and so they stuck them together and made a story line on nine lives. It just does not cut the mustard. The music is also disappointing.Compared to the first move Fritz the Cat it just does not make it. Save your time and energy and dont bother"
"This is one of the funniest live-action Disney films ever. My mother used to take this movie out from the library for me when I was little, and I loved it. A few months ago, I checked to see if they still had it, and they did, even though the case is beat up. Edward Herrmann is one of my favorite actors, and he's great as Reverend Hill. The rest of the class is great too. My favorite scene: When Douglas Fowley as Delaney is hanging from the bell tower. Buy this film before they stop selling it!!!"
