"The Parallax View is the ultimate paranoia film, bar none. It is the standard by which all other films of this genre are judged. In other words, it is a classic. It combines stellar direction with a very believable performance by Warren Beatty to create a film that has no equal. From the opening on the Space Needle, it is obvious this movie isn't going to be run of the mill. From there, every plot line just gets bigger and bigger, until everything envelops Warren Beatty to form the film's stunning conclusion. Alan Pakula would eventually follow this film up with All The Presidents Men, that film is good, but this film is greati**tands as his masterwork, and it is the best of the 70's paranoia pictures."
"It's certainly easy to dismiss this made for cable sequel as merely a retreading of the original. buti** heart is so big and the production is so well done, prancer returns stands on its own wobbly feet. this time, it's prancer's son who brings the magical mystery alive, and gavin fink as charlie is an endearing waif. robert clark as his older brother is also fine in his role. the adults, john corbett-stacy edwards-jack palance-michael o'keefe--are also credible and the heartwarming message of belief and family values are also well ensconced in its storyline. the relationship between the brothers is especially touching and the movie's predictable ending is still magical to those of us who still have that whimsical belief in christmas magic."
"Sequals are rarely successful, but this film proves the exception. It is at least as good and in some ways better than the original 'Prancer'. It is a really nice holiday story that should please both children and adults. Yes, it is a fantasy, but one grounded in reality which makes it the best kind of make-believe. From the opening, the viewer knows what the results will be. It is obvious who the divorced mother will end up with, the reindeer will actually be one of Santa's and the unpleasant person will get his just dues, but the way the events unfold make it a really enjoyable story. The characters are true to life with excellent preformances from the children. This could become a Christmas classic."
"Hats off to John Corbett, Stacy Edwards, Michael O'Keefe, Jack Palance and the Producers of Prancer returns. We've enjoyed Prancer for so many years and were so excited to see 'Prancer Returns' come out. Again, the movie has taken 'every day' people, has placed them in 'every day' life situations and has created a masterpiece filled with Christmas magic. A wonderful movie for everyone in the family. A must see!"
"'Joshua' is an uplifting movie with a truely Christian theme. I felt it was well acted, touching, humorous at times and totally enjoyable. In this era of questionable values, with Hollywood's proclivity towards sex and violence in film, this was a refreshing change. Joshua, a stranger, comes to a small town and demonstrates through his actions and words what being a Christian is all about. His presence challenges the 'church authority' and hollow observance of religious customs. I highly recommend this movie."
