"I watch this movie every time it's on cable. It's a nice, pleasant Christmas movie, with the highly underrated Jamey Sheridan playing a decent guy. Anyone who wants an uncomplicated, happy ending movie should watch this again and again."
"I have read some of these reviews with amazment that some people actually support the PIRA and their campiagns of bombing and killing on my country and in ireland when they are nothing more than thugs who go around murdering innocent people and who do not even represent a majority of northern ireland the loyalists do."
"This movie tells the story of two young people, Jessie and Sean, who have moved to Alaska with their father after their mother's death. Jessie is making the best of the move, but Sean is very unhappy that he has been uprooted from his home in Chicago. When their father's plane crashes during what was to have been a routine flight, Jessie and Sean decide to rescue him. What follows is totally unbelievable, but there is some exciting action during the rescue and the scenery is spectacular. Mostly designed as a children's movie, the scenery is probably the best part for adults."
"This movie is just brillianti** amazing! It's about four girls who meet up twenty years later and it's just brilliant! Most of it is set in the summer of 1970, and it's great fun to watch. My favourite character was Samantha, played by Gaby Hoffman at 12 and Demi Moore at 32. I liked the other three as well: Teeny (Thora Birch, Melanie Griffith), Chrissy (Ashleigh Aston Moore, Rita Wilson) and Roberta (Christina Ricci, Rosie O' Donnell). All the actors were great and it's a star-studded cast featuring Janeane Garafolo and Brendan Frasier in cameos. There's only one actress making her debut, Ashleigh Aston Moore, and she gives a stunning performance as 12-year-old Chrissy. You will do anything to get your hands on this video!!!"
"Thora Birch and Scarlett Johanson shines as recent high school graduates who are undergoing a transition to the 'adult' or grown-up world. Scarlett Johanson has moved onto working at a coffee shop (like Starbucks???) and getting her own apartment. Meanwhile, Thora Birch as Enid is still playing pranks on unsuspecting strangers and stuck in art class she must repeat in summer school. A case in character study, Enid, a lost ghost in this world, who view others as 'losers' ultimately gets a dose of her own medicine and finds out her cynical, critical views had made her one of the biggest losers of all. Wonderfully told film of a story that appears dark and cynical itself, but is really a morality lesson."
