Deadly Friend

"Contrary to what wes craven says about it in interviews, deadly friend is not his worst film and is not that bad a film, period. I have always enjoyed it and am surprised at how disturbing the story actually is. And the tacked-on ending is no dumber than the tacked-on ending of craven's original nightmare on elm street. Bottom line, deadly friend contains one of the coolest and most original kills i can remember from any 80s horror film: a character's head gets obliterated by a flying basketball! fans of this underrated gem will no doubt rejoice in being able to view that scene frame-by-frame now thati** on dvd."

"I loved this movie. I've been waiting for it to come out for a long time. Kristy swanson is great and so is matthew laborteaux. It shows how much you love someone and will do anything to have her back even though it has very serious consequences."

Hot Shots!

"Hot Shots! is a great movie with a great script and great acting by Charlie Sheen. Sheen is a great comedy actor and this movie proves it. This movie came out the same summer as one of the Naked Gun movies, and it spoofs Top Gun perfectly. Lloyd Bridges is also great as an absent minded General. Valarie Golino is great in this movie too."

Higher Learning

"Higher Learning is a thinly veiled attempt to inject the audience with Singleton's opinions and values. From the first frame to the last, it feels more like a preachy ABC Afternoon Special than a feature film. Despite the slick veneer of a fine cast, Singleton once again reveals himself to be the main attraction, an angry director trying to promote his bitter social agenda. Without a doubt, HL pales in comparison to his first movie, 'Boyz n the Hood'."
