Those Who Love Me Can Take the Train

"I'm not sure about the film some of these other reviewers saw, but I could not stand this movie. For one thing - one very critical thing - it's got some of the most UNREADABLE subtitles ever! Which, I'm sure, added to my complete lack of enjoyment. I'm an Independent Film fan and I was looking forward to seeing this movie buti** disconnected and at times, just unwatchable.The story meanders and the lighting isn't so great either. I was very disappointed. Be careful if you're planning on purchasing this DVD. Try to rent it first - check the foreign section of your favorite video store. Best Regards, turtlex"

Love Bites

"A guy is offered a lot of money to track down the elusive 'Jordan.' Along the way he runs into Jordan's sister and a bunch of trouble. This movie was ok. The dvd cover was very vague about the plot so I wasn't sure if I should expect it to be a vampire movie, a mystery movie or both. As it turns out, the movie is just an intrigue/mystery. The vampirism is minimal at best. They really tried to keep the audience interested by having this poor guy go through some bizarre ordeals. Some of them were interesting, others were kind of boring. A big plus is that Asia Argento is pretty hot in this flick. Also the way the main charactor lives and cons/mooches is kind of interesting. If you enjoy movies with a lot of bar/night club scenes, you'll probably enjoy this film. "

Ne le Dis a Personne

"Four French Academy awards in 2006. This film, based on a novel by Harlan Coben, is simply one of the best French movies of 2006. This movie can be found with English subtitles at Amazon.fr in a zone 2 edition."

The Beach

"Not the best movie he's done, kinda dragged in some parts. The music wasn't really great either but does anyone know who sings the music in the previews on TV? It's a woman, sounds ... uh, african maybe? I don't really know but if someone could tell that be great, thanks!"

"Quite simply, this is the worst DVD transfer I've ever seen. In reference to the other reviewer's observation concerning the film's 'poor lighting' all I can say is blame it on transfer, not the director. The film is every bit as good as, say, Magnolia, and is deserving of at least a 4 1/2 star rating. However, owing to the unreadable subtitles, I'd be loath to recommend this movie--even for rental--to anyone who doesn't speak French."
