"I never read the novel for which the movie was based on but felt the story was put together well. The story is primarily focused on Valerie but the others characters intersection with her life throughout the story was nicely done. The story timeline of the character played by Barry Botswick covers quite a span of time. The road to success was long and the levels of friendships and loyalty he developed overtime were great. The movie strategically high drama was timely and never allowed the movie to be boring. I waited and waited for this movie to be available on DVD because it is definitely a collector's item from my point of view."
"One of the better made for TV movies, but the DVD copy I got is of a poor quality (although watchable)! If your a Val Fan its worth the low end price! Otherwise if you want a better than VHS quality recording then pass on this one and wait for the 2nd generation print!"
"This movie should have had a PG rating on this film. I saw some of this when I was 8 years old. When Brian would take the dog's head off, I would scream out for my mom and then start to cry. The scenes where his eyes light up could scare little kids... Take it from me, I know...I would advise parents to pre screen this before letting them see this movie. Seeing this film today still gives me the shakes! and I am now 30! Bed memories die hard...."
