"ALL i know is real fans of metallica have been waiting for this for a long time. the band HAS changed through the years, and GOD bless them for that. "
"This box set is amazing. It contains material up to the black album, in 3 cds and two dvds. How do you do that? i love it. Metallica is so much better live. Also, the origional book is on dvd 2, and you can make a screen saver with it if you have a dvd-rom server in your computer. I also really like the 'scary guy' stencil that comes with the box seti** pretty big too. This also comes with a amazing textured metallica sticker which says:
i was on stage with metallica
91-92
in the snake pit
as a special guest of:
metallica
this is also green and white, with a big picture of the 'don't tread on me' snake from the black album."
"WOW! Ever wonder whati** like to produce an album?...or tour with a heavy metal band? Then this is it. In part 1, see Metallica and Bob Rock make the hit 'Black Album' and watch as the songs take form in the studio...mistakes, pranks, masterpieces and all.(Very candid!) In part 2, Tour with the band around the world including appearences at the MTV Music Awards, the Grammys, and a special farewell concert for Freddie Mercury of Queen where James Hetfield sings with Queen and other legendary rock stars. See what the band does in their spare time. It's one of the best DVD's in my collection. IT ROCKS!"
"This is the limited edition 2 tapes . One of them is the live concert and the other is special bonus featuring 40 minutes of behind the scenes footage , interviews with metallica and the symphony . Her you will find the bonus tape funy as hell especialy from james ! must have for a metallica fan ."
"I watched this at a friends and will probably eventually buy it but I have a few other Metallica videos I want to replace with DVD first.First off, this DVD doesn't get ratings for the videos from the Black Album, it's a documentary...if you want music videos or sessions, buy A Year and A Half... There's no comparison between the two. ;) If it contained most of the same material, I think that would be a bigger waste of money."
"Althought the premise is good, the cast fabulous (chuck full of cameo performances), and the production values above average, this film doesn't know whether it wants to be a Rom-Com, straight comedy, or mystery. So it's all three. The staging of the various 'Darwin Awards' is usually VERY funny, and Fiennes does a great job as the lead (he's genuinely funny doing both slapstick and some more 'high-brow' stuff);but Ryder's 'tough-girl' is just too cliched, and you never really get to feel that she is capable of becoming involved with Fiennes. If you are looking for a little mindless fun(and I do mean mindless, as in people doing some really absurd stunts)then you will like this film. "
