Popeye
"I can't even go into details, it's THAT bad (I could have a seizure or something if I try to summon up the memories.). What boggles my mind is how Robin Williams could somehow segue from this rubbish to The Fisher King - one of the all-time great films ever made. I actually saw IT (can't even say the P word anymore) when IT first came out and IT was the only movie I ever felt compelled to walk out of. Over 20 years later - only because I love Robin Williams - I decided to give it another chance. Guess what? Still the worst movie ever made. Period. "

The Trench
"The expectations for this film embraced the word, 'epic,' but all-in-all, this one missed the boat by orders of magnitude. As a film that was likely intended to show the 'reality' of life during trench warfare in World War I, it is an utter failure. SO many missed opportunities here! This film came about as close to accurately portraying trench warfare as 'Apocalypse Now' did in accurately describing the Vietnam War, which was positively ludicrous. In fact, this film is so bad that it makes the very limited combat scenes and trench warfare vignettes in 'Sergeant York' look like an epic."

Popeye
"I will go mad if I hear one more critic say that Popeye is a mess, or one more person laugh and look at me strange when I bring up this movie. This movie is a work of art. The songs are works of art. Shelley Duvall's Olive Oil is a work of art. The lines Robin Williams mumbles so you have to watch the movie ten times to hear them are a work of art. The set is, the plot is. Did I say the music is? You're going to tell me that Shelley Duval dancing about oddly on the deck singing he needs me, he needs me, isn't just absolutely perfect!? And that whole Fooey, fooey scene! I'm gonna do one of those twist up my arm punches to the next person that says this movie was a travesty for Williams or show boating by Altman or anything else! AUGHHHHH! thanks for listening."

The Trench
"This is an excellent movie for World War I buffs. Why? For one reason, there is little enough out there for the amateur historian of this period, and the depictions and language exchange are useful to understand trench warfare. This is not about character development to the ultimate degree. This is about a snapshot of history, and it is well done, for whati**et out to achieve. And the price is right. Buy it, now.Several things are lacking, like the dry trenches (never happen) and the clean uniforms (Britain had been in the war for two years), but perfection would make it five stars, rather than four.Jim Minnoch"

Fairy Tale - A True Story
"I find it hard to articulate just why this film moves me so much, i just wish as I see it for the 10th or so time, that I could watch it without crying....it brings up so many issues so cleverly, it offers consolation, it brings in the concepts of magic and faith in an intense and beautiful way, the acting is superb....in fact I think this is my most favourite movie of all time.....not a childrens film, though some will love iti** actually a movie for tired old grownups! Slap Shot
"I have just received (and watched) the DVD version of 'Slap Shot', and I thank the powers that be for restoring the original sound track to the movie. The generic music that was released on VHS took the heart out of the movie. With the restoration, and the excellent digital quality of the movie, my favorite film is complete. Now, a full 5 stars only because I can't give it 10."
