Iron Jawed Angels

"I happened to be channel surfing one night in a hotel and came across this movie. This is without a doubt one of the most important movies to have ever been made. Hilary Swank is at her very best in this. There are scenes in this move that I still play over and over in my head. Every woman and girl in this country should see this movie. If they did they would never not vote again. Every man should see this movie - if they did they would ensure every woman in their lives saw it and and voted in every election. This is a definite must see!!!"

The Time Machine

"I purchased this movie with a little trepidation, considering that it was selling at a lower price than other brand new movies. Also considering that other reviewers were slamming it. Five minutes into the movie, I knew this trepidation was wasted. The movie is a great retelling of the classic story. Guy Pearce does a wonderful job of showing what a great actor he is. The graphics are stunning and the look at the way distant future is very original. If you collect DVD's, this is one to definitely add to the collection. You will defintely not regret having spent the time on this wonderful movie."

Elizabeth I

"Helen Mirren gives a fantastic performance as the unmarried English ruler. She seemed to get the queen's personality down. I felt as if I was getting a look back at history. Hard to believe such a high quality production was created for TV. You see what it takes to be a great, if not lonely, monarch. You do have to close your eyes to a few historical liberties, such as the Queen visiting her cousin in her prison cell. The movie does have a slow start, but stick with it, it picks up. Some of the scenes are very violent and graphic, so beware of that. The reason to see this movie is too watch how Ms. Mirren portrays Queen Elizabeth I. Worth the viewing time."

"As a big fan of historical films, I always get nervous before seeing a movie whose subject is one that I am passionate about. Therefore I was quite apprehensive about this movie. Turns out, it was the best pull off of all suffrace films. Touching and accurate, with the right amount of heart, humour, and intelligence, this movie made for an enjoyable and educating experience. It reminded me why I am glad to be a woman."
