Seabiscuit
"Seabiscuit on HD-DVD is a stunning visual treat. Numerous visual scenes are unforgettable: * Jeff Bridges at the end of the road race is standing high in the mountains and states that 'the future is the destiniation' - the scenery in the background is breathtaking. * Toby Maguire and Seabiscuit take a ride in the autumn countryside - the visual of the bridge and the countryside is amazing and worth the price alone. * Numerous race scenes in the movie are captivating with the vivid colors. The audio track was exceptional and the hoofs of the horses rocked our home Theater. Highly recommend this excellent movie in HD; a cinematic pleasure!"

Slackers
"An absolute waste of time. Changing the cat litter is more productive than watching this stinker. How'd they ever get Cameron Diaz to make a cameo? Well, then again, she was in 'The Sweetest Thing' so I guess there's no accounting for taste..."

Bewitched
"Bewitched is the new twist on the old series we all love. Of course there's the witch: Isabel Bigalow. She wants to give up her 'witchyness' until she meets Jack (Ferrell). He asks her to star in the new Bewitched series. She agrees, but realizes later on that he is using her. So she does her little witch thing, casts a spell on him, and realizes true love doesn't need magic blah blah blah blah. Anyway, it's a cutesy film that has one or two laugh out loud parts but other than that, not my favorite. Kidman doesn't particularly shine and the plot is somewhat predictable. I would say rent it with your girlfriends once from blockbuster and enjoy the flick, but I wouldn't buy it."

Marie Antoinette
"Director Sofia Coppola's follow-up to her excellent 'Lost in Translation' is a jaw-dropping disaster. 'Marie Antoinette' has everything money can buy -- except focus and pacing. Coppola doesn't know whether she's making a detailed historical drama or a postmodern satire for the MTV generation. Instead, the film goes nowhere very slowly. The 123-minute running time should have been slashed in half. Kirsten Dunst does her best under trying circumstances, while a strangely miscast Jason Schwartzman does his worst. Beautiful cinematography and an eclectic soundtrack are utterly wasted. I want my two hours back -- or the producers can send me a free round-trip ticket to Versailles."

Seabiscuit
"This review rating is not for the content of the movie itself, but for the quality of the HD DVD transfer. This is one of the best titles for picture quality to come out so far in the HD DVD format. The standard DVD release was great for picture quality, so I was excited to see what this one is like in the HD DVD format. Picture quality is very impressive. The textures of the period clothing in the film really stand out. Blacks are very dark, and the movie has great shadow detail. The sound quality is also a dramatic improvement over the standard DVD. While there is no Dolby True HD sound, the Dolby Digital plus soundtrack is great. "

"Any movie that has to steal the title of an already well-known movie must have very little going for it. These teen stars know that they're dime-a-dozen, and are hoping to make money to get them through the years when they're over 25 and unemployed again.Boo! Boo! This is going to stink!"
