"This film is a must-see in how films should be made. You can not see this film and not become emotionally involved with the characters. Only someone with a heart of stone will walk away without at least a lump in their throat. Some drop-dead funny scenes and some tragic scenes that will never leave your mind.Relationships that make you stop and think about the people in your own life, especially your family... their motives, desires, true feelings, etc.A fabulous and emotionally rich film. Not a 'chick flick' but a stirring thinking person's film. The scenery, costumes, etc. are also stellar. This is an incredible piece of film making.If anyone knows how I can get a copy of this on DVD, please let me know!"

"C'mon, that says it all, man. He dies! That alone is worth this movie. (In fact, I never watched past his death, but I figured it deserved 5 stars for that alone. More movies should do this.)"

"The movie is a bit dramatic at times, but those who have studied the Doolittle raid and the treatment of the 8 men captured know it does not tell the American public enough about the terrible way humans treat other humans. If the Americans had been able to know how badly their prisoners were being treated, the Japanese Island might not be there today. Read Four Came Home for the best view, or study other exerpts of various items on the internet. I am writing about Dean Edward Hallmark, a graduate of Paris Junior College and one of the three who were executed."
