"I really didn't know what to expect out of this movie when my buddy got it from netflix two years ago and brought it over. I've never been much of a fan of martial arts films, but this one definitely had me rolling. This film is riddled with slapstick humor that will either have tears of joy or or regret rolling down your cheeks. My wife did not enjoy this movie, but it definitely has a spot reserved on my DVD shelf. If you think you'd enjoy a cross between 'The Simpsons' and 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon', will more than likely get a kick out of this movie."
"This is a great movie. Normally, I am not into these types of film but I am glad I watched it. The film is breathtakingly beautiful, in terms of colors and camera works (same director that made 'Hero'. This is much better than Hero by far). It is so good that after I watched it on regular DVD, loaned from a friend, I went on Amazon and ordered the blu-ray version.
Gong Li and CYF are the pros at story telling. The movie is very grand and MUST be seen in Chinese audio and English subtitle to get the true feelings from the real actors voices. Although if you opt for English dub, it is very good too.
I am sure this blu-ray version will be fantastic. Will write up how it looks once I get a chance to view it.

"Kung Fu Hustle on Blu-ray looks/sounds excellent. I already own the DVD version of Kung Fu Hustle, but watching Kung Fu Hustle on Blu-ray is a vast improvement. With its vibrant colors and incredible sound, Kung Fu Hustle is definitly one of the better Blu-ray releases I have seen so far.
Just like the DVD, the Blu-ray version is also loaded with extras:
-commentary with Stephen Chow, Lam Tze Chung, Tin Kai Man, and Chan Kwok Kwun
-42 minute behind-the-scenes featurette (in Chinese with English subtitles)
-2 deleted scenes
-30 minute candid Ric Meyers interview with Stephen Chow (in English)
-5 minutes of outtakes
-trailers for Resident Evil 2, Underworld 2, and xXx"
"If you want to see the uncut, no bull, original official version of any jackie chan, or any honk kong movies, stick with hk imports. Now, make sure hk imports are official licensed product, and not boot legs. It gets really tricky, but it is worth the search. American version cut off so much, and also make acting look so dumb by english dubb. Not worth it."
"Tai Chi Master, note this is not the theatrical version with JET LI and Michelle Yeoh. This tv/movie has some amazing choreographing that rivals most of the martial arts on film. One thing that I liked was it had less 'wire fu' than the traditional yuen wo ping movies. The condensed tv program paces very quickly into the action and doesn't stop. Besides the amazing Tai Chi that Jacky Wu displays, he goes into battle with all kinds of masters from various styles including a drunken master (reminds me of how kung fu video games stages are). A must for martial art movie fans!!!! Tai Chi II is also sweet!!!! "
"Didn't expect much from single layer 25 gig mpeg-2 with extras, but I was totally impressed w/ the transfer. Great movie to add to my ever growing collection."
