"very sorry if any trouble but I have a message for Lloyd maines . I am an amature sound engineer in san diego ca. I have been a fan of the group intocable for a couple of years and when I heard the cd " crossroads", I was blown away. I couldn't help notice a certain effect on the lead vocals. At first I thought it was a noise gate but then I realized.. Compression. Not just any compression but a crystal clear type like I had never heard before in my life. It was amazing. So like I said I'm amature. I'm using a universal audio solo 610 preamp with a nuemann tlm 49 because if I've learned anything it's that good transducers are key. I'm running this equipment to a simple Roland vs-2000 . So here's my question Lloyd if you can " hear" me, what can I do to get that amazing sound that u Aquired on those vocals?What equipment did u use? How did u get that emaculate sound"
