The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers

"Seems like heresy to actually love watching the movies but be semi-bored by the books, but that is my take. For all of you out there that are critical of the movies because they take license with the books content, then too bad. The books are very detailed and will never translate perfectly to the big screen, so let it go. These movies are the next best thing."

The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King

"This not-yet-released, unseen-by-any-human-being-movie is definitely the best of the movies in this trilogy. The special effects, especially the ones that haven't been created yet, are spectacular.Believe me, this is one movie that you don't want to miss - and don't doubt me just because I appear to be unable to grasp the basic meaning of the word 'review'. Or because I am completely unaware of the universally accepted theory that time moves only in one direction."

"Western films have slowly deterierated in quality since the passing and changing of certain actors souch as John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. It is good to see a western that captures the same hearts as did earlier westerns. We need more movies like this one."

"Well, what can i say?, at last a have the three greatest movies ever made in this decade, besides star wars first trilogy, lord of the rings, it's a movie that will remain forever in our lives and you'll never get tired to see them over and over again, it's like traveling into another world, and i'm glad that the return of the king won the oscar nominations, including best picture. the performances, the places, especially the music written by howard shore, makes the lord of the rings an incredible and unforgettable experience that will stay forever in your mind and life. don't loose time, buy the trilogy at once!!!!!!!!!!"

A History of Violence

"Imagine if Fritz Lang or Alfred Hitchco** had a crack at 'A History of Violence.' The legendary filmmakers certainly would have jettisoned screenwriter Josh Olsen's sloppy adaptation of the popular graphic novel. David Cronenberg, on the other hand, goes full speed ahead -- embracing the needless subplots and gradual implausibilities. There are effective performances by Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris and William Hurt, buti** all for naught. Wildly overrated upon release, this disappointing crime-thriller was deservedly panned by some of the more-perceptive critics."
